James Ellis is Magnetic Stripper.
Absolute Ceiling (Eric Blevins and Jim Ellis) began recording in Johnson City TN (1982 - 1984). Shortly thereafter, Jim moved to Knoxville until finally relocating to San Francisco in 1994 (where he currently works in a specialized field of interactive multimedia technology) and has continued to be a prolific audio/visual artist with numerous live performances on the West Coast.
